While we love helping you select window solutions and upholstery options to create your dream home, we also work with businesses and interior designers to bring their vision to life. Recently, we were engaged to assist in the refurbishment of the Icebergs Harbour Bar at Crown Sydney.
This is a gorgeous bar and restaurant located on the Casino’s ground floor in Barangaroo where it overlooks the harbour. The interior designer responsible for the design refresh, showed us a concept image of the look and feel she wanted to achieve. We worked with her to bring this vison to life. But being a hospitality business, there were strict criteria we needed to meet such as:
- The use of fire resistant fabrics that were also easy to clean
- The ability to reduce the amount of glare that came into the venue from the water
- A soft, private ambiance that could be closed off from the main foyer when required
Our solution …
A pink, velvety wonderland using 100% polyester velvet with the necessary fire rating. The curtains were made and hung in sections to be free flowing and luxurious with magnetic tiebacks to create volume wherever and whenever required. This system allows Icebergs Harbour Bar to create slightly different looks throughout the day. We also included fire resistant sheer swags suspended from the ceiling to soften and define the venue’s space when the velvet curtains are fully opened.
